The MG-H79-31 is a high-precision hollow-shaft brushless servo motor designed for robot joints, precision rotary stages, optical equipment, and automated rotary mechanisms.It integrates a brushless motor, servo driver, 20-bit single-turn absolute encoder, and multiple communication interfaces into a compact housing. With dimensions of Ø79 × 32.6 mm and a weight of approximately 420 g, the motor delivers 1 N·m rated torque and up to 2.5 N·m peak torque, balancing torque density, positioning accuracy, and integration efficiency.
The MG-H79-31 features a Ø31 mm hollow bore for routing power cables, signal wires, optical fibers, or pneumatic lines through the rotation axis. It supports CAN FD, PWM, and RS485 interfaces, together with position, speed, and current/torque closed-loop control.

The MG-H79-31 delivers 1 N·m rated torque and up to 2.5 N·m peak torque, supporting continuous rotation, position holding, rapid starts and stops, and short-duration high-load operation.Continuous current is below 1.5 A, while peak current can reach 10 A. Rated power is 54 W, with instantaneous power of up to 360 W for dynamic acceleration.
±0.004° Positioning Accuracy
The specified repeatability and absolute positioning accuracy are both ±0.004°, making the motor suitable for precision positioning and angle-control applications.Its speed variation rate is below ±0.5%, while the specified speed resolution is 0.0001 Hz, supporting smooth and stable low-speed operation.

20-Bit Absolute Encoder
The motor integrates a 20-bit single-turn absolute encoder, providing detailed angular feedback for position, speed, and torque control.The absolute encoder allows the controller to identify the single-turn rotor position at startup, reducing the need for conventional homing procedures.
